To measure a distance with GyroSurveyor, all you need to do is point your phone camera to an object and click on the screen once to mark the point where it touches ground, then you have the distance of you to that object calculated for you.
With the first object marked, you simply turn to another direction and mark a second point with the same method then you have the distance of the two objects displayed on screen.
And you can continue to mark more points and the perimeter and area is automatically calculated for you.
No matter which direction you turn to, this app will always keep the marker and the object in the real world together. Even when the object is out of the screen.
